Q: What happens after I purchase a test online?
A: Depending on which test you purchased, you will either receive an email from our lab partner, DHA Laboratory, within 2-3 days that contains a requisition form for you to have your blood drawn, or if your test requires a kit, it will be mailed to your home via USPS with detailed instructions for collection.
Q: Is there a charge for shipping test kits?
A: No, shipping is included, except for rush orders.
Q: Where do I go to get my blood drawn?
A: If you received an emailed requisition form, print it, and take it to a local LabCorp Service Center to have your blood drawn at no extra charge. Find a LabCorp Patient Service Center near you. (Not available in New York or New Jersey.)
Some functional lab tests – such as NutrEval, Micronutrient Analysis, Micronutrient & Antioxidant Analysis, and CardioMetabolic Health Panel – cannot be taken to LabCorp and do require an additional blood draw fee. These test kits will be mailed to your home and include instructions for finding a blood draw site convenient to you.
New: If you are local to Village Green, blood draws are now available by appointment in Suite 202A (across the parking lot from Village Green). Schedule with Tanisha (240-398-4546) or Raven (812-612-1515). Blood draw fee: $65.

Q: What laboratory will analyze my tests?
A: LabCorp provides much of our laboratory services. However, we utilize specialty laboratories for all tests that require a kit for either in-home collection or blood draw.
Q: Can I order lab tests if I live outside the United States?
A: No. We can only offer lab tests to people residing in the continental US and in Anchorage, AK.
Q: Who will authorize a blood test for me?
A: Our tests are requisitioned through DHA Laboratory. They have contracts with physicians who will authorize your test, but will not diagnose or treat you after you receive your results.
Q: How and when will I get my results?
A: Some tests require up to 14 days for processing. Your results will be emailed to you once they are ready. If you are a Humanized+ member, you will receive an overview of your test results as well as general recommendations from a Village Green nutritionist.
Q: Who can explain the results to me?
A: You are encouraged to discuss your results with your healthcare practitioner. Village Green Apothecary also has a team of nutritionists and naturopathic doctors available for consultation.
Q: Why not just go to my own doctor to order blood tests for me?
A: Village Green is able to offer a wide selection of unique lab panels that your doctor may not be familiar with or willing to order. Other advantages of direct access testing include the ability to monitor your health on your own schedule.
Q: Are these tests covered by my insurance company?
A: No. Insurance codes will not be provided. When you purchase a lab test from Village Green Apothecary, you are doing so with the understanding that you are privately paying for these tests. There is absolutely no billing to Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance.
